Funny Valentine's Gifts
Dante put Lust in the second circle — the softest landing in Hell, and the one everyone would pick. That coincidence is the entire gift.
The second circle is the joke
Circle II is where the lustful are blown forever on a wind they can't steer. Dante treats it as the most forgivable sin in Hell, which makes it an oddly affectionate place to put someone.
What it is
Damnation Vacation sells a numbered, permanent plot in one of Dante's nine circles of Hell. You pay $6.66, pick who it's for, name their cardinal sin in twenty characters or fewer, and choose their circle. They get a public gravestone page with their name on it, their plot number, and a counter tracking how many days they've been down there.
Works either way
It reads as flirting between people who are together, and as a punchline between people who aren't. The anti-Valentine's version is the more common purchase.
Common questions
What is a funny Valentine's gift?
A $6.66 permanent plot in the second circle of Hell, which is Lust — the one Dante treats most gently.
Which circle is Lust?
The second. The lustful are blown eternally on a storm they cannot steer. It is the least severe punishment in Dante's Hell.
Is this a good anti-Valentine's gift?
It is the more common way it gets bought — sent between friends on February 14th rather than between partners.
